 EMPOWERED!  That word sums it up nicely!  Malinda and her team stepped in and changed my son's life course. He is empowered in the classroom, we are empowered as parents, and the district is empowered to do the right thing!  Last year we were absolutely hopeless and it looked like there was no way we would ever get this "right" for my son.  It felt all wrong, piecemealed, and he wasn't making academic progress.  Then, I met Malinda and we hired her soon after!  After one IEP meeting, my son now has or will be getting the proper tools he needs to be successful in the academic environment and in LIFE!  Malinda's not looking for quick answers and short -term solutions.  She is detail -oriented and will see a plan though in every aspect to get the best possible result for that child in a way that benefits not only the child, but the district as a whole.  Malinda goes that extra mile and her passion for advocacy is unmatched.  On a follow up call, I shared some artwork my son created and she immediately instructed me on how to market his artwork for sale.  In following her advice, we worked towards creating some online posts.  Yesterday,  he sold two pieces of artwork online in less than 4 hours and made his own real money! He was so PROUD of himself.  He was happy.  He had dignity.   EMPOWERED.  That sums it up!  Let her take the reins and advocate for your child too! THANK YOU, MALINDA!!
